Full Job Description Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of HVAC technicians and other maintenance personnel Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems in residential and commercial properties Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC system issues and provide effective solutions Monitor inventory levels and order necessary parts and supplies Train and mentor HVAC technicians on proper techniques and procedures Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including service reports and equipment history Assist with estimating and pricing new HVAC equipment installations, including equipment, materials, labor, and related installation requirements Maintain a sales-oriented approach by identifying opportunities for equipment replacement, system upgrades, and additional services that benefit the customer Present equipment replacement and upgrade options to customers in a professional manner, clearly explaining the benefits, value, efficiency, and long-term costs Promote and sell preventative maintenance agreements to new and existing customers to increase customer retention and recurring revenue Identify opportunities to improve customer relationships, increase service revenue, and generate additional business through existing customer interactions
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in HVAC is a plus Proven experience as an HVAC technician or supervisor in a similar role Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including hydronic and domestic hot water heating systems Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose complex issues Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and guide a team Strong estimating, sales, and customer service skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Exceptional organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with others Ability to identify opportunities for equipment replacement, upgrades, and maintenance agreements
