Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heating and Air Conditioning Technician, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and efficiency of HVAC systems across various commercial and residential settings. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with a wide range of mechanical systems, troubleshoot complex equipment, and deliver exceptional customer service. Your expertise will help maintain optimal indoor environments by repairing and maintaining HVAC systems with precision and professionalism. Duties Service, and repair heating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, including air conditioning units, furnaces & boilers. Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot electrical systems within HVAC equipment using tools such as ohmmeters. Perform mechanical systems repair and maintenance on HVAC components, including compressors, fans, pumps, and valves. Utilize hand tools and welding equipment to repair or replace parts as needed for optimal system performance. Collaborate with clients to provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring satisfaction throughout the service process. Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and system conditions for future reference. Follow safety protocols related to EPA regulations for refrigerants and electrical systems to ensure compliance at all times. Assist in HVAC system design or upgrades by providing technical insights based on building specifications. Experience Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC (Heating & Air Conditioning systems. Strong knowledge of schematics & electrical wiring diagrams. Hands-on experience with HVAC system installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair across various equipment types. Familiarity with plumbing systems related to HVAC setups is a plus. Mechanical knowledge encompassing boilers, ammonia refrigeration units, air conditioning units, and mechanical systems repair. Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, soldering equipment, ohmmeters, welding tools, and other diagnostic instruments. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately for efficient troubleshooting. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism in client interactions. Relevant certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling certification are required; additional certifications in electrical diagnostics or HVAC design are advantageous.
