This position is ideal for an experienced HVAC technician who enjoys variety, troubleshooting, working independently, and building strong relationships with commercial and industrial customers. Our team works throughout Northern Minnesota and Northern Wisconsin, serving a wide range of customers including industrial facilities, schools, healthcare facilities, mines, municipalities, and commercial businesses. What You'll Do Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair commercial and industrial HVAC systems Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled equipment service Assist with equipment installation, replacement, and startup Work independently on commercial and industrial service calls and project work Communicate directly with customers and facility personnel regarding equipment issues, findings, and recommended repairs Assist with developing repair recommendations and estimates as needed Complete accurate job documentation, including service notes, time, materials, photos, and equipment information Coordinate with the Commercial/Industrial HVAC team on larger jobs and projects Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment Work indoors and outdoors year-round, including rooftops, mechanical rooms, and industrial environments Participate in an after-hours/on-call rotation as the department continues to develop Perform other related duties as needed to support the department and our customers What We're Looking For Above all, we're looking for someone who brings the right combination of technical ability, reliability, and attitude to the team. Strong mechanical aptitude and an understanding of HVAC systems Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through issues independently Dependability and accountability — someone the team and our customers can count on Strong communication and customer service skills when working with customers, facility personnel, and coworkers Willingness to learn and continue developing technical knowledge and skills Journeyman-level HVAC experience preferred Previous commercial and/or industrial HVAC experience preferred Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field Team-oriented and willing to assist where needed Comfortable using basic mobile technology and willing to learn company job-management and documentation systems Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to work safely in varying indoor and outdoor environments Formal trade-school education is not required. We value demonstrated field experience, technical ability, dependability, and a willingness to continue learning. Schedule & Travel This is a full-time, primarily Monday-Friday daytime position. Additional hours and participation in an after-hours/on-call rotation will be required based on customer and department needs. Travel will primarily be throughout Northern Minnesota and Northern Wisconsin, with occasional overnight travel as needed.
