In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and system reliability. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced mechanical and electrical systems, providing exceptional service to our clients while advancing your technical skills in a fast-paced environment. Duties Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems. Diagnose electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and perform electrical diagnostics to identify faults in HVAC/R systems. Read schematics and technical manuals to accurately troubleshoot equipment problems and implement effective solutions. Conduct routine maintenance on mechanical systems, plumbing, refrigeration units, and electrical components to ensure optimal operation. Perform equipment repairs or replacements with precision, ensuring compliance with safety standards such as EPA regulations for refrigerants. Collaborate with clients to explain system issues and recommend appropriate solutions while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Assist in the installation of HVAC system components including ductwork, piping, electrical wiring, and control systems like building automation. Utilize hand tools and mechanical knowledge to repair or replace faulty parts efficiently. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all work performed. Support property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems to ensure safety and operational efficiency. Experience Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician working on commercial or residential HVAC systems. Construction experience is highly desirable for installation projects involving complex mechanical systems. Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics reading, refrigeration cycles, and mechanical systems repair. Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting, plumbing, and appliance repair. Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) and electrical systems related to HVAC/R is preferred. Ability to operate hand tools effectively along with specialized equipment such as ohmmeters and refrigerant recovery devices. Valid EPA certification for handling refrigerants is required; additional certifications in ammonia refrigeration or boiler operation are a plus. Excellent customer service skills combined with a proactive approach to property maintenance and field service tasks. Mechanical knowledge combined with mechanic experience enhances your ability to diagnose complex issues quickly.
