HVAC Service Technician Requirements & Qualifications:
Must Haves Minimum 3 years of verifiable HVAC field experience EPA Certification Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Clean driving record Ability to work independently without supervision Professional appearance and strong homeowner communication skills Ability to lift 75 lbs and work in attics and crawl spaces Core Responsibilities Independently diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems Service furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and indoor air quality systems Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections Clearly explain findings and recommendations to homeowners Accurately document work in service software Maintain organized truck inventory and proper job materials Follow all safety standards and company procedures
HVAC Service Technician Preferred Background & Skills:
Nice to Have Experience servicing heat pumps and high-efficiency systems Experience working in residential-only environments Strong customer retention mindset Experience participating in on-call or emergency rotation schedules Desire for long-term stability with a company that values craftsmanship over high-pressure sales
