About Us Custom Container Living, Inc. is a rapidly growing modular home manufacturer in Butler, Missouri. We build high-quality container and modular homes in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility. Our team is focused on craftsmanship, continuous improvement, and building innovative homes while creating an outstanding workplace. We are seeking a Mechanical Systems Technician to own the installation and quality of all mechanical systems within our homes. This role combines HVAC mini-split installation, plumbing, mechanical finish work, commissioning, and quality verification. The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, takes pride in clean workmanship, and is willing to assist throughout production. Primary Responsibilities
- Install engineering-specified Mitsubishi mini-split systems.
- Install indoor/outdoor units, line sets, electrical connections, pressure test, evacuate, startup and commission systems.
- Complete residential rough and finish plumbing.
- Install water heaters, ERVs, bath fans, dryer vents and appliances.
- Complete mechanical punch-list and warranty items.
- Document vacuum micron readings, startup information and installation photos.
- Verify flare torque values and manufacturer installation requirements.
- Assist Quality Control before inspections. Engineering Responsibility Engineering and Design determine equipment sizing and selection. The Mechanical Systems Technician installs the specified equipment and verifies compliance with manufacturer specifications, company standards, and applicable building codes. Success in this Role

- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical installation experience.
- EPA 608 certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot mechanical systems.
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.
