Job Description

United Heating Cooling & Plumbing, located in Grandview MO, is a family owned and operated company that provides HVAC service and equipment for residential and commercial customers. Our reputation over the last 35 years for tackling challenging projects and deadlines is unmatched. We are deeply ingrained in the community and people we care about. Our Replacement department continues to grow, and we are currently seeking HVAC Installers to join our team. In this position, the Installer will be responsible for the replacement of heating and cooling systems and accessories for residential construction jobs. Our ideal Replacement Installer is skilled, honest, reliable, and has a passion for customer service.
Responsibilities:
Travel to homes on a daily basis to carry out your jobs in a timely manner Replace, modify, and/or install new heating, cooling & ventilation systems meeting the manufacturer's recommendations and local codes Troubleshoot, adapt, resolve, or repair any issues that arise during a replacement installation that would affect the equipment from properly functioning Communicate with the customer regarding the proper operation and owner's maintenance of the installed equipment. Answer related questions as to operation, features, and functions. Conduct all required documentation for each installation, including records of appointments, payment transactions and accurate daily time entry. Communicate with Field Supervisor through each project to ensure proper and prompt completion of each job. Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and HVAC resources Proper use of tools and equipment Adhere to the highest standards of quality, adapting any previous methods with United's standard
Qualifications:
3+ years' HVAC technical and trade experience - for Leads. No experience needed for helpers. Excellent interpersonal communication skills on a technical level Able to work both independently and as part of a team Current MO or KS driver's license and good driving record Ability to safely lift 100+ lbs. Able to tolerate extreme temperatures for extended periods of time Ability to work at height Able to work overtime and weekend hours, if needed Able to continually push, pull, lift, grasp, hold, carry, reach, reach above the shoulders, stoop, bend at the waist, bend at the knee, kneel, bend side to side, crouch, stand on step stools or small ladders and balance. Work safely following company policies Must have reliable transportation Ability to pass drug screen, physical exam, and background check.
