Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Light Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining a variety of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems in commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, boilers, and mechanical systems. Read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues. Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot electrical systems within HVAC equipment. Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to repair or replace faulty components efficiently. Diagnose system malfunctions through comprehensive testing of refrigeration cycles, electrical components, plumbing connections, and building automation systems. Maintain detailed service reports, logs of repairs performed, and documentation of system conditions for client records. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction during every interaction. Experience Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC/R or related mechanical fields with a strong background in system repair and maintenance. Construction experience or property maintenance background is highly desirable. Knowledge of HVAC system installation procedures and building automation systems integration. Familiarity with plumbing systems related to HVAC/R equipment is a plus. Mechanical knowledge of HVAC design principles and refrigeration cycles is essential. Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics including troubleshooting electrical systems using meters and schematics. Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision while adhering to safety standards such as EPA certification for refrigerants.
