Job Description

In this role, you will assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. This role is designed to help you grow your expertise and become a vital part of our installation and service team. Duties Support in installing and troubleshooting heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and plumbing systems. Assist with equipment repair and maintenance tasks on boilers, air conditioning units, ammonia refrigeration systems, and other mechanical equipment Help perform field service tasks including appliance repair, property maintenance, and system inspections to ensure optimal operation Use tools, such as ohmmeters, for electrical testing and welding equipment for minor repairs or modifications Aid in reading HVAC design plans and schematics to accurately execute installation or repair procedures Participate in routine maintenance activities on mechanical systems to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan Support the safe operation of vehicles when transporting tools or parts to job sites Skills Basic understanding of construction practices related to HVAC installation and maintenance Experience as a service technician or in HVAC installation is required Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, and mechanical systems troubleshooting Familiarity with plumbing, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), and air conditioning systems Mechanical knowledge including boiler operation, equipment repair, welding techniques, and appliance servicing Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately desired but not required Proficiency with field service procedures and the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail in mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks Good communication skills for working effectively with team members and clients This position offers an excellent pathway to build your career in the HVAC industry.
