Job Description

HVAC Service & Maintenance Technician A locally owned and trusted HVAC company serving the Flathead Valley is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join its team. The company provides professional heating and cooling services with a focus on quality workmanship, dependable service, and customer satisfaction. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking to build a long-term career with a reputable local company. This position is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining heating and cooling systems. They are looking for someone with 3 to 5 years of hands-on HVAC experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while providing professional, courteous service to customers.
Starting Wage:
$25 to $35/hour, depending on experience
Schedule:
Full-time, steady, year-round work
Essential Functions and Duties:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related HVAC equipment Perform preventative maintenance, seasonal tune-ups, safety inspections, and system performance evaluations Test and repair electrical components, controls, motors, thermostats, sensors, capacitors, and other system components Diagnose and resolve refrigerant, airflow, efficiency, and equipment performance issues, including refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and charging Communicate system issues, repair options, and maintenance recommendations to customers while maintaining accurate service records and job notes Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle, coordinate parts and job needs with the service team, follow all safety and applicable codes, and participate in on-call or emergency service as needed
Qualifications:
3 to 5 years of hands-on HVAC service and maintenance experience with strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Working knowledge of residential HVAC systems, components, wiring diagrams, equipment specifications, and diagnostic tools Strong communication and customer service skills with a professional, customer-focused approach EPA 608, NATE, or HVAC Journeyman certification preferred, along with experience in heat pumps, ductless or light commercial systems, indoor air quality equipment, major HVAC brands, and computerized service software Physically able to lift 50lbs, climb ladders, and perform manual labor Must have own basic hand tools; company provides larger equipment Valid driver's license and clean driving record Get in touch!
