Job Overview We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead and oversee our dynamic heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) service operations. Must have five plus years' experience in primarily residential, Boilers, Forced Air Furnaces and Air Conditioning. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of top-tier service, maintaining high standards of technical excellence, and fostering strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical systems repair. As a Service Manager, you will coordinate field service teams, manage equipment troubleshooting, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Your energetic leadership will drive operational efficiency and elevate the customer experience in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of service technicians in performing HVAC system repairs, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting mostly residential properties. Oversee the diagnosis and repair of HVAC systems, including boilers, electrical systems, building automation systems, and plumbing components. Ensure all work complies with safety standards such as EPA regulations and local building codes; promote a culture of safety awareness among team members. Manage field service operations by scheduling jobs efficiently, coordinating Technicians for timely service delivery, and maintaining equipment inventories. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about system issues, repair options, and maintenance procedures. Conduct quality control inspections to verify that all work meets company standards and client expectations; troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues as needed. Maintain detailed records of service activities, equipment repairs, maintenance logs, and safety documentation for compliance purposes. Qualifications Proven experience in HVAC service management or a similar leadership role within the construction or property maintenance industry. Extensive hands-on experience as a service technician with expertise in HVAC system repair, installation, electrical diagnostics, and plumbing. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency with schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design principles. Ability to operate hand tools, ohmmeters (electrical testing devices), and other mechanical tools effectively. Solid understanding of electrical systems including electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with boiler operation and maintenance is preferred. Excellent leadership skills to manage field service teams while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Valid driver's license with clean driving record; ability to operate vans or trucks safely in various conditions. Exceptional customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving; ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
