Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and ventilation equipment in residential properties. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to ensure precise installation. Conduct system troubleshooting and perform repairs on existing HVAC units, refrigeration systems, plumbing connections, and appliances. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to optimize performance and extend lifespan. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for system modifications or repairs. Ensure all installations comply with local codes, safety standards, and manufacturer specifications. Communicate clearly with property owners regarding system operation, maintenance needs, and safety procedures. Qualifications Proven experience in construction, HVAC installation or service technician roles with a strong mechanical background. Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration if applicable. Familiarity with plumbing systems, appliance repair, boiler operation, and property maintenance tasks. Ability to operate field service tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment confidently. Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems is essential. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving driver vehicles preferred. Experience working with schematics, technical manuals, or blueprints for system installation or troubleshooting. Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to interact effectively with clients and team members.
