Job Description

Your Job Georgia-Pacific is seeking an HVAC Service Technician at our Dudley, NC facility to manufacture plywood safely and efficiently. This position offers opportunities for development within your role and future growth within the company.
Salary:
You will have the ability to increase your compensation based on skills and contribution to the overall performance of the mill. The pay for this position is commensurate with experience.
Shift:
The work schedules may include weekends and holidays: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 4:30PM.
Physical Location:
139 Brewington Drive, Dudley NC What You Will Do Lead the organization toward excellence in Environmental, Health, and Safety and Compliance by identifying and resolving critical and high risks
  • Improve reliability of HVAC system assets by leading the development, implementation, and execution of check/adjust
  • Own asset strategies for facilities assets and resolve high impact operating issues
  • Lead daily operations of HVAC assets within the facilities team by helping to develop operating targets and equipment setup procedures
  • Troubleshoot and review root cause
  • Ensure assets meet safety, quality, productivity, and cost expectations
  • Collaborate with other departments such as maintenance, quality and planning to ensure efficient operation
  • Improve long term asset performance by understanding the business, mill, and department visions, and identify area needs to meet those objectives
  • Prioritize opportunities and develop a plan to create capability including potential capital and non-capital opportunities
  • Lead or participate in capital project scope development, engineering, execution, and startup
  • Provide technical expertise on HVAC assets and transfer knowledge to other members of the operating team via daily interaction and formal/informal skill building
  • Develop and implement complete Asset Strategies for chillers and HVAC equipment
  • Travel up to 10% of the time for training and teaching Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) A minimum of five (5) years of experience working with HVAC systems and loops A minimum of three (3) years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment Experience reading technical drawings, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's), and loop sheets Experience with HVAC systems US EPA Section 608 Technician Certification What Will Put You Ahead Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing and/or Wood Products Service experience Certifications with HVAC systems Experience working with Delta Controls and Honeywell web server Experience developing job scope and creating contract requisition Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) to manage facility systems At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
