HVAC Technician Location:

Based on experience ($20-$35/hour)

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week (overtime and weekends as needed) We are seeking an experienced HVAC Sheet Metal Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have skills in sheet metal fabrication, assembly, and installation, but this position is trainable for the right motivated individual. This role plays a vital part in fabricating and installing HVAC systems, ductwork, and other sheet metal products to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to code. Responsibilities Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine fabrication, assembly, and installation requirements. Measure, mark, and lay out sheet metal materials using rulers, squares, scribes, and calculators. Fabricate and install assemblies such as HVAC ducts, flashings, rain gutters, furnace casings, and piping systems. Secure joints and seams with solder, welds, caulk, bolts, and clips to ensure strong, lasting bonds. Use hand and power tools to cut, trim, buff, file, and grind sheet metal surfaces for safety and precision. Select appropriate types and gauges of sheet metal according to project specifications. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to OSHA standards and company safety policies. Ensure compliance with local building codes. Qualifications Experience in sheet metal fabrication and installation preferred (HVAC experience a plus). OSHA certification required. Knowledge of building codes and safety standards. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Physically fit and able to perform hands-on fabrication and installation tasks. Willingness to learn for candidates with transferable mechanical or construction skills. Work Environment Indoor and outdoor work depending on project requirements.
