Job Description
Overview Humphrey Heating & A/C, Inc. is seeking skilled and dependable HVAC installers to join our Jacksonville team! Installers will be assisting a crew leader with new construction complete HVAC systems including; installation of equipment, ductwork, drain lines and refrigerant linesets. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, takes pride in quality work, can work independently or as part of a team and is committed to installing systems correctly and efficiently. Installers have a chance to grow and learn in the HVAC trade while earning competitive pay and excellent benefits. A valid driver's license and background check are required for this position and pay is based on experience. Responsibilities Install/Assist with the installation of HVAC systems, including ductwork, units, and related equipment Support technicians in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems Help interpret schematics and blueprints for system installation and maintenance Carry out basic plumbing tasks related to HVAC setups Use hand tools and power tools safely to assemble and install equipment Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency Assist with equipment repair and maintenance tasks as directed by senior technicians Operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to identify electrical issues Learn about HVAC design principles, refrigeration systems, and mechanical knowledge relevant to the role Requirements Basic understanding of schematics, HVAC design, plumbing, refrigeration, and mechanical systems Experience with equipment repair, welding, boiler operation, or mechanic work is a plus Knowledge of HVAC/R systems and air conditioning units is beneficial Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required Strong mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn new skills in field service operations Ability to work safely with power tools and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to supporting senior technicians in various tasks This position provides an excellent foundation for those interested in advancing their careers within the HVAC industry through hands-on experience with diverse systems and technical disciplines.
Pay:
