Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Residential HVAC Installer and become a vital part of delivering comfortable, efficient, and reliable climate control solutions to homeowners. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets safety standards and customer expectations while contributing to the overall comfort and property value of our clients' homes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical skills and technical knowledge in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, and refrigeration equipment in residential settings following schematics and HVAC design plans. Conduct system troubleshooting and repairs using hand tools, electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters, and equipment repair techniques to ensure optimal operation. Perform routine maintenance on existing HVAC systems to improve efficiency and extend lifespan, including cleaning, calibrating, and replacing parts as needed. Diagnose electrical systems issues related to HVAC/R equipment, utilizing building automation systems and electrical diagnostics tools for precise repairs. Collaborate with customers to explain system features, maintenance procedures, and answer questions to enhance customer satisfaction through excellent service. Ensure compliance with EPA regulations regarding refrigerant handling and environmental safety standards during installation and repairs. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including schematics updates, service reports, and inventory management for parts used. Requirements Proven experience in construction or property maintenance with a focus on HVAC system installation or repair. Strong mechanical knowledge paired with the ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans effectively. Proficiency in electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters; experience with electrical systems in building automation is a plus. Familiarity with plumbing components associated with HVAC systems; ability to troubleshoot equipment issues related to plumbing is desirable. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles safely at job sites. Knowledge of EPA regulations concerning refrigerant recovery and handling; certification preferred but not mandatory for all applicants. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in physically demanding environments requiring lifting, climbing ladders, or working in confined spaces.
