Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor climate control, energy efficiency, and system reliability. Responsibilities Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units, and ventilation equipment. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan. Troubleshoot electrical components using tools such as ohmmeters and diagnostic software to identify faults efficiently. Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including refrigerant lines and drainage connections. Repair or replace mechanical parts such as motors, compressors, fans, and welders as needed. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all work performed while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Operate specialized equipment for ammonia refrigeration or HVAC/R systems in accordance with industry regulations. Assist in designing HVAC solutions tailored to client needs by understanding system schematics and technical specifications. Support property maintenance teams by providing field service expertise for appliance repair and general mechanical issues. Experience Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a strong background in construction or property maintenance environments. Hands-on experience with HVAC design principles, schematics reading, and system troubleshooting. Knowledge of refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge encompassing boiler operation, equipment repair, welding skills, and general mechanic experience. Familiarity with plumbing systems related to HVAC setups is a plus. Field service experience working directly on air conditioning units, appliances, or HVAC/R systems. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) is a bonus.
