HVAC Service & Installation Technician Howe's HVAC Services - Wake Forest, NC Full-Time | $25-$35/hour + Performance Bonuses Howe's HVAC Services is a locally owned and operated residential HVAC company serving Wake Forest and surrounding areas. We are growing and looking for a dependable, experienced HVAC Service & Installation Technician to join our team. This position includes both residential service work and HVAC system installations . We are looking for someone who can confidently diagnose and repair equipment, communicate well with customers, and assist with or complete quality residential installations. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair residential heating and cooling systems Perform HVAC maintenance and tune-ups Troubleshoot electrical, airflow, refrigerant, thermostat, and equipment issues Install residential split systems, heat pumps, air handlers, furnaces, gas packs, and related HVAC equipment Assist with equipment change-outs and full system replacements Complete start-ups and verify proper system operation after installation Install or replace thermostats, drain lines, ductwork, accessories, and related components Perform brazing, pressure testing, evacuation, and refrigerant charging as needed Explain findings, repair options, and equipment operation clearly to customers Complete accurate service notes, photos, and job documentation Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle and work area Follow company procedures, manufacturer requirements, and safety standards Identify replacement opportunities when repairing an existing system is no longer the best option Participate in limited after-hours or on-call service as scheduled Qualifications 3-5 Years Residential HVAC experience Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Ability to complete quality residential HVAC installations EPA certification required Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to work independently and as part of an installation team Dependable, punctual, and organized Professional appearance and strong customer service skills Comfortable communicating recommendations without high-pressure sales tactics Ability to safely lift and carry HVAC tools, materials, and equipment Willingness to learn and grow with the company Pay $25-$35 per hour , based on experience, skill level, and ability to work independently Performance bonuses Installation bonus opportunities Quality and callback-based bonus opportunities Overtime opportunities based on workload Benefits Paid time off after introductory period Paid holidays Company service vehicle Company-provided uniform shirts Paid training and continued learning opportunities Consistent weekday schedule Opportunity for advancement as the company grows Schedule Primarily Monday through Friday , with a mix of scheduled service calls, maintenance, repairs, and residential installations.
