Job Position Information Description & Details:
Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all heating equipment throughout campus; i.e. hot water heating, steam heating, DDC controls, pneumatic controls, natural gas heating appliances and boilers, hydronics and associated piping. Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all cooling equipment throughout campus; i.e. refrigerated airconditioning, water cooled air conditioning, VRF split systems, refrigerated coolers and freezers, steam absorption chillers, refrigerated air cooled chillers, cooling towers and pumps. Troubleshoot both AC and DC electrical issues within this equipment. Voltage ranges from 24 volts to 480 volts. Troubleshoot, repair and service chemical exhaust systems. Replace motors, bearings etc. Troubleshoot, repair and service all types of air handling systems i.e. air handling equipment used for comfort and equipment used for building pressure and ventilation. Replace equipment that has reached maximum life expectancy. Troubleshoot both AC and DC electrical issues within this equipment. Voltage ranges from 24 volts to 480 volts. Navigate various building automation systems that control all ventilation equipment. Troubleshoot, repair and program various electronic controls systems. Scheduling for DDC systems. Repair and replacement of sensors, actuators, and controllers. Troubleshoot electrical issues within these systems including AC, DC and other various voltage ranges. Troubleshoot and program variable frequency drives.
Work Schedule:
7:30am - 4:00pm with rotating 24/7 "on call" schedule.
Hiring Range:
$72,000 - $80,000 yr / DOE Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.
Minimum Qualifications:
HVACR diploma or related education or 5+ years in the HVACR service field.
Minimum Licenses/Certifications:
City of Fargo Journeyman License for Gas and Mechanical or the ability to obtain within 1 year. Certified EPA approved refrigeration license or the ability to obtain within 1 year. Valid Driver's License.
Preferred Licenses/Certifications:
Universal EPA approved refrigeration license.
Core Competencies:
This position is very detail orientated. People in this position will need the ability to repair and maintain a very broad range of HVACR equipment and their associated controls. This position also requires excellent customer service skills. It is also important to know how to properly prioritize repairs.
