If these values align with how, you work and who you are, we want to talk with you. The role Keep heating and cooling running across our residential portfolio. This is hands-on, multi-site work for a tech who'd rather diagnose and fix equipment than hand it to a vendor — and who can explain the repair to a resident standing in their own kitchen. What you'll do Run the preventive maintenance program: filters, coils, belts, condensate, combustion checks, seasonal changeovers, and HVAC scope on unit turns Troubleshoot and repair split systems, rooftop units, PTACs, mini-splits, heat pumps, furnaces, boilers, and air handlers Handle refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and charging in full EPA 608 compliance, with accurate leak-rate and usage logs Respond to comfort work orders within service level targets and take part in the after-hours on-call rotation Scope and oversee outside contractors, flag aging equipment for capital planning, and keep van stock ready for first-visit fixes What you need EPA Section 608 Universal Certification Gas Fitter License 3+ years hands-on HVAC service and repair experience Ability to independently diagnose residential and light-commercial equipment, and read wiring diagrams and schematics Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and own hand tools (we provide specialty tools, meters, gauges, and a service vehicle) Ability to pass a background check and drug screen Nice to have: NATE certification or state journeyman/contractor license, NH/MA boiler operator license, multifamily or property management experience, building automation systems, [Yardi / RealPage / AppFolio / Entrata], conversational Spanish. Working conditions Lifting up to 50 lbs, ladders and rooftops, attics, crawlspaces, and confined spaces, extreme heat and cold, and driving between properties throughout the day.
