Responsibilities Assist experienced HVAC technicians with installing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Support the setup and connection of mechanical systems including boilers, air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems. Use hand tools and electrical diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical components. Read schematics and HVAC design plans to understand system layouts and installation requirements. Help perform routine HVAC system maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Assist with plumbing connections and repairs related to HVAC systems when necessary. Support equipment troubleshooting efforts by identifying issues with mechanical or electrical components and assisting in repairs or replacements. Qualifications Prior construction experience or hands-on service technician experience is highly preferred. Basic mechanical knowledge including familiarity with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems. Ability to interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design drawings. Experience with electrical diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting, and system repair is a plus. Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC setups is advantageous. Familiarity with building automation systems and electrical systems is beneficial. Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, voltmeters, and ohmmeters. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a van or service vehicle safely. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards client interactions. EPA certification or willingness to obtain certification for refrigerant handling is required or preferred.
