Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Your expertise will help deliver comfortable indoor environments across commercial and residential settings. Duties Perform routine maintenance on commercial and residential HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and improve system longevity. Diagnose and repair HVAC system issues using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques. Conduct system repairs involving refrigeration, plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical components to restore optimal operation. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to guide installation and repair work accurately. Troubleshoot complex HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems to identify root causes of malfunctions. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs performed for accountability and future reference. Ensure compliance with EPA regulations by handling refrigerants responsibly and performing leak detection procedures. Assist with building automation system adjustments to optimize energy use and indoor air quality. Use hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and specialized diagnostic equipment to perform equipment repair and maintenance tasks efficiently. Skills Service technician experience with troubleshooting HVAC/R systems in commercial or residential environments. Strong understanding of schematics, blueprints, electrical wiring diagrams, and HVAC design principles. Mechanical knowledge related to refrigeration cycles, boiler operation, air conditioning units, and ventilation systems. Ability to perform electrical diagnostics using tools like ohmmeters and multimeters accurately. Skilled in plumbing work associated with HVAC systems including pipe fitting and leak detection. Familiarity with building automation systems for climate control management. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid EPA certification for handling refrigerants is required; additional certifications in HVAC or electrical systems are a plus. Proficiency with hand tools and equipment troubleshooting techniques for mechanical systems repair. Valid driver's license suitable for operating company vehicles safely ( driver).
