HVAC Service Technician Location:
Jersey City, NJ BLT is hiring an experienced HVAC Technician to perform residential HVAC service, maintenance, and repair work at our luxury apartment community in Jersey City. This HVAC Technician role is ideal for a hands-on HVAC tech who enjoys troubleshooting systems, performing preventive maintenance, and working in a stable, professionally managed residential environment. Responsibilities - HVAC Technician Perform routine and preventive maintenance on residential HVAC systems in apartments and common areas Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment including compressors, air handlers, thermostats, and condensers Complete HVAC service requests efficiently and professionally Identify HVAC system issues and recommend repair or replacement solutions Maintain accurate documentation of HVAC work orders using property management software Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (additional compensation provided) Ensure all HVAC work complies with safety standards and Fair Housing regulations Requirements - HVAC Technician 1+ year of hands-on experience as an HVAC Technician or HVAC Service Technician EPA Universal Certification required Residential HVAC experience strongly preferred Trade school or technical HVAC training a plus CPO, HVAC, or CFC certifications are a plus Comfortable using mobile devices or computers to complete service documentation Ability to safely lift equipment and perform physical HVAC job duties Physical Requirements Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and access HVAC systems in mechanical rooms, closets, and ceiling spaces Ability to lift and maneuver HVAC tools and equipment safely Benefits Provided to the
