Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Helper, where you'll play a vital role in supporting the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems across commercial and residential buildings. Responsibilities Assist senior HVAC technicians with the installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and building automation systems. Support routine maintenance tasks on HVAC equipment, including filters, belts, and electrical components to ensure optimal system performance. Help troubleshoot mechanical systems by using hand tools, ohmmeters, and electrical diagnostic tools to identify issues. Participate in system repairs involving plumbing connections, electrical wiring, refrigerant lines, and mechanical components. Read schematics and technical diagrams to better understand system layouts and assist with complex installations or repairs. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials properly. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients about work progress and safety procedures. Skills Construction experience or familiarity with building systems enhances your ability to support installation projects effectively. Experience as a service technician or in equipment repair provides a strong foundation for troubleshooting HVAC/R systems. Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical systems, plumbing, and refrigeration is highly valuable. Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and diagnostic equipment like ohmmeters is essential. Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC system repair, maintenance procedures, boiler operation, air conditioning units, and building automation systems helps ensure quality work. Ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematics facilitates accurate troubleshooting and repairs. A valid driver's license with experience as a van driver is preferred for timely job site access; EPA certification is required for handling refrigerants. Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
