HVAC Installer Filan & Conner is seeking a skilled, dependable HVAC Installer to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will install residential and light commercial heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment while delivering the quality workmanship and customer experience our clients expect. Responsibilities Install HVAC systems and components, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, ductwork, thermostats, ventilation equipment, and refrigeration-related equipment. Follow approved plans, manufacturer specifications, local codes, and safety requirements to complete installations accurately and efficiently. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications. Measure, cut, assemble, and install ductwork, piping, wiring, condensate drains, and related mechanical components. Start up and test newly installed equipment; confirm proper airflow, electrical connections, refrigerant charge, controls, and overall operation. Diagnose and correct installation-related mechanical, electrical, and control issues using appropriate hand tools and testing equipment. Perform repairs and maintenance as needed to support system performance and equipment reliability. Maintain clean, organized job sites and company vehicles; handle materials and equipment responsibly. Communicate professionally with customers, explaining completed work, system operation, and basic maintenance recommendations. Work collaboratively with service technicians, project managers, and other field personnel to meet project schedules and quality standards. Qualifications Previous HVAC installation, construction, mechanical, or related field experience required. Working knowledge of HVAC equipment, ductwork, refrigeration principles, electrical systems, and mechanical components. Ability to read and follow technical drawings, schematics, installation manuals, and job specifications. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and electrical diagnostic equipment, including multimeters or ohmmeters. Strong troubleshooting ability and attention to detail. EPA Section 608 certification Additional certifications or experience in electrical, plumbing, sheet metal, or controls are a plus. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to safely lift and move equipment and materials, work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and other job-site conditions, and perform physically demanding work. Strong communication skills, professionalism, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
