We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. Position Summary The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems. This position requires strong technical skills, effective communication, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Essential Job Duties Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC system issues Perform routine maintenance and inspections on heating and cooling equipment Service and replace components such as thermostats, motors, transformers, capacitors, compressors, and related equipment Perform system testing and verify proper operation of HVAC equipment Inspect and maintain condensate drain lines, ventilation systems, and air distribution components Complete preventative maintenance services on residential and light commercial HVAC systems Document service findings, repairs performed, and recommendations Maintain service vehicle inventory, tools, and equipment Communicate effectively with customers regarding service needs and repair options Coordinate with supervisors regarding job progress, parts requirements, and scheduling needs Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service calls Follow company safety policies and industry standards Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Minimum of two years of HVAC service experience preferred EPA Certification preferred Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Knowledge of HVAC system operation, troubleshooting, and repair procedures Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documents Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule and respond to after-hours service needs when scheduled Preferred Qualifications New Mexico Journeyman License Experience servicing residential and light commercial HVAC systems Familiarity with gas furnaces, heat pumps, package units, and mini-split systems Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move materials, tools, and equipment required for HVAC service work Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing Ability to work in confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces when necessary Ability to work at elevated heights using ladders and related equipment Ability to work in varying weather and temperature conditions Benefits Eligible full-time employees are offered a comprehensive benefits package that may include: Health Insurance Dental Insurance Short-Term Disability Insurance Accident Insurance Cancer Insurance Company-Paid Life Insurance Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Retirement Plan with Company Match Ongoing Training and Professional Development Opportunities Opportunities for Career Growth and Advancement Schedule Full-Time Day Shift Overtime Opportunities Available Participation in a rotating on-call schedule for emergency service calls Equal Opportunity Employer Fulkerson Plumbing & Air Conditioning is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
