Troubleshoot electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters to identify system faults efficiently. Read and interpret schematics, mechanical drawings, and HVAC design plans to execute precise repairs or installations. Conduct routine inspections of mechanical systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety standards. Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to troubleshoot issues related to HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems. Collaborate with clients to provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs, maintenance procedures, and system functionalities clearly. Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance data for accountability and future reference. Skills Proven construction experience with a strong understanding of mechanical systems repair and HVAC system installation. Service technician experience in diagnosing complex HVAC issues using schematics and technical manuals. Knowledge of HVAC design principles, building automation systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and refrigeration technologies. Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems efficiently using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters. Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience working with hand tools for equipment repair and maintenance tasks. Familiarity with electrical diagnostics related to HVAC/R systems including electrical wiring and circuit troubleshooting. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. EPA certification or equivalent licensing required for handling refrigerants safely.
