Job Description

Position Overview Iconic Mechanical is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support our HVAC/mechanical construction projects. This position will work closely with Project Managers, field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to help ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project requirements. The ideal candidate has experience in commercial HVAC/mechanical construction, understands construction documents and project workflows, and is looking to grow into a Project Manager role. Responsibilities Assist Project Managers with the day-to-day management of HVAC/mechanical construction projects Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and scope of work Prepare, track, and follow up on RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation Coordinate equipment releases, deliveries, and lead times with vendors and field personnel Communicate with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel Assist with project scheduling and monitor project milestones and deadlines Track project costs, commitments, change orders, and budget information Help identify potential cost overruns, scheduling issues, and scope changes Attend project meetings and assist with meeting follow-up and documentation Maintain organized and accurate project files Assist with project closeout, punch lists, warranties, O&M manuals, and other closeout documentation Work closely with field supervisors and Project Managers to resolve project issues Support multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining deadlines and priorities Oversee and maintain site safety documentation Qualifications 2+ years of construction experience required , preferably within HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, or MEP construction Understanding of commercial HVAC/mechanical systems and construction processes Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively with both office and field personnel Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on outstanding items Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook Experience with construction/project management software is a plus Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is a plus; relevant industry experience will also be considered
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
