Diagnose, repair, maintain, and service residential heating and air conditioning systems Service, troubleshoot, and repair furnaces, central air conditioning systems, heat pumps, ductless mini-split systems, boilers, and related HVAC equipment Perform preventative maintenance inspections and identify opportunities to improve system safety, efficiency, performance, and reliability Educate homeowners on repair, maintenance, indoor air quality, and replacement options and provide clear recommendations based on their needs Present solutions professionally and help customers make informed decisions regarding their home's comfort systems Complete all required documentation, invoices, estimates, photos, and job notes accurately and thoroughly Maintain company vehicle, tools, inventory, and equipment in a clean and professional manner Follow all safety procedures, company standards, and local mechanical codes Deliver a "Best of Long Island" customer experience on every call What We're Looking For You'll thrive in this role if you are: A skilled technician who takes pride in quality workmanship Customer-focused and professional in your communication A strong problem solver who enjoys diagnosing and resolving issues Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable Comfortable explaining recommendations and educating homeowners Team-oriented and committed to continuous improvement Driven to provide an exceptional customer experience Skills & Requirements 3+ years of residential HVAC service experience preferred Strong knowledge of residential heating and air conditioning systems and diagnostics Experience servicing and troubleshooting furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless mini-split systems Experience servicing and troubleshooting boilers preferred Have or be willing to get proper certifications (e.g. EPA Universal Certification) Ability to diagnose and repair HVAC equipment efficiently and accurately Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage a service route Ability to use mobile technology, dispatch software, and digital job documentation Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Why Top Technicians Choose Varsity Varsity is where skilled technicians come to grow.
