About the Role As a Commercial HVAC Field Technician, you will serve as a technical expert responsible for the optimization and reliability of complex climate control systems. By leveraging your expertise in refrigeration cycles and electrical diagnostics, you will ensure that high-performance commercial equipment operates at peak efficiency for clients nationwide. Responsibilities Execute comprehensive system start-ups and commissioning to guarantee that new installations meet design specifications and performance benchmarks. Drive system longevity and energy efficiency through the proactive execution of scheduled preventive maintenance programs. Resolve complex mechanical and electrical failures by performing precise troubleshooting on chillers and commercial HVAC units. Validate the integrity of safety protocols and control logic to maintain a secure and stable operating environment. Deliver actionable insights to clients regarding system health and potential performance upgrades to improve long-term reliability. Maintain meticulous documentation of service history, diagnostic findings, and technical adjustments to ensure accurate asset tracking. Collaborate with project teams to accelerate the resolution of post-installation challenges and minimize operational downtime. Engage in continuous professional development to master emerging HVAC technologies and advanced diagnostic methodologies. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC service or technical maintenance. Advanced proficiency in interpreting complex wiring schematics and electrical troubleshooting. Deep working knowledge of the refrigeration cycle and system thermodynamics. Current EPA Type 1 & 2 Refrigerant Certification. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to travel extensively. Preferred Skills Prior experience with large-scale chiller systems or process cooling equipment. Demonstrated success in a field-service role requiring independent decision-making. Familiarity with building automation systems and modern energy management practices.
