Job Description
We are looking for experienced Field Service Technicians to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial reciprocating compressors and related equipment across North America. This role is ideal for hands-on technicians with experience in industrial compressors, commercial/industrial HVAC-R, refrigeration, or rotating equipment who have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and enjoy traveling, working independently, and supporting industrial customers in the field. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, repairs, and equipment overhauls. Install, inspect, repair, and commission industrial reciprocating compressors and related equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic issues. Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Replace relays, sensors, transmitters, motors, and other electrical and mechanical components. Perform basic PLC and control system troubleshooting when required. Troubleshoot related industrial equipment, including air treatment systems, dryers, pumps, motors, and other rotating equipment. Prepare service reports using Microsoft Word and Excel and communicate with customers using Outlook. Maintain a high level of safety and professionalism while working on customer sites. Travel approximately 80% throughout the United States, with occasional travel to Canada and Spain for training. Provide emergency support, including occasional weekend and holiday work when required. Requirements 3+ years of hands-on experience servicing industrial compressors, commercial/industrial HVAC-R systems, industrial refrigeration, industrial engines, or similar rotating industrial equipment. Experience with reciprocating or piston compressors is highly preferred. Strong experience performing preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, equipment repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls. Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Experience troubleshooting motors, relays, sensors, transmitters, controls, and related electrical components. Basic PLC troubleshooting experience is preferred. Experience with commercial or industrial HVAC-R, refrigeration systems, chillers, air dryers, pumps, or similar equipment is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to work independently in the field. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel approximately 80%. Experience with equipment from manufacturers such as Ariel, Burckhardt Compression, HOERBIGER, Kaeser, Belliss & Morcom, AF Compressors, Ingersoll Rand, or similar is preferred.
