Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems, primarily Magic Pak units, to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Your expertise will help create comfortable, safe environments for our residential settings. Duties Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems in accordance with schematics and design specifications Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation and extend system lifespan Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/R systems using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters, identifying issues with electrical components, mechanical parts, or refrigerant leaks Conduct comprehensive system diagnostics to identify faults in electrical systems, plumbing connections, mechanical components, and control systems Repair or replace defective parts including compressors, fans, thermostats, valves, pumps, and electrical wiring while adhering to safety standards and EPA regulations Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose problems and execute repairs or installations Provide exceptional customer service by explaining technical issues clearly and recommending solutions that improve system performance Skills Proven construction experience with knowledge of mechanical systems installation and building automation systems Service technician experience working with HVAC systems in residential environments Expertise in HVAC system repair, maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues efficiently Mechanical knowledge of refrigeration cycles, boiler operation, air conditioning units, and ventilation systems Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers as well as diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and pressure gauges Ability to perform electrical diagnostics on complex electrical systems within HVAC units Knowledge of EPA regulations related to refrigerants and environmental safety standards Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach to residents, staff and vendors Ability to read technical schematics accurately and work independently or as part of a team in field service environments Basic carpentry skills a plus
Pay:
From $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
