Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems across a commercial settings. Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems in accordance with schematics and design specifications. Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure efficient operation and extend equipment lifespan. Diagnose electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot electrical systems to identify faults accurately. Repair and replace faulty components in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems, including mechanical parts, electrical wiring, and plumbing connections. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to guide installation and repair processes. Conduct comprehensive system diagnostics to identify issues with HVAC system performance or mechanical failures. Ensure compliance with EPA regulations by handling refrigerants responsibly and maintaining certification standards. Assist in the installation of building automation systems that optimize HVAC performance for energy savings and operational control. Maintain detailed service records, work logs, and reports for all performed tasks to ensure accountability and future reference. Skills Proven experience in construction or HVAC service technician roles with a strong understanding of mechanical systems repair. Extensive knowledge of HVAC system installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair techniques. Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans accurately. Proficiency in electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters; capable of troubleshooting electrical systems effectively. Familiarity with refrigeration principles and equipment repair processes related to cooling systems. Mechanical knowledge of plumbing connections associated with HVAC units as well as boiler operations. Skilled in using hand tools common in the trade for installation and repair tasks. Experience working with building automation systems (BAS) for climate control management. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; knowledge of environmental regulations regarding refrigerants is essential. Ability to perform equipment troubleshooting efficiently under field conditions while maintaining safety standards. Knowledge of electrical systems within HVAC units including wiring diagrams and electrical component testing. Immediate start after interview.
