Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional service in maintaining, repairing, and installing HVAC systems across various commercial and residential settings. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical expertise, troubleshoot complex systems, and ensure optimal indoor climate control. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing top-tier customer service while working on a diverse range of HVAC equipment. Your expertise will help keep buildings comfortable, efficient, and compliant with safety standards. Duties Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, ventilation systems, and building automation controls. Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot electrical systems to identify faults accurately. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to execute installations and repairs effectively. Conduct routine maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure peak performance and longevity of equipment. Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems, including pipe connections, drainage, and refrigerant line servicing. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions by inspecting mechanical components, electrical wiring, refrigerant levels, and control systems. Collaborate with clients to assess their needs, explain repair options clearly, and deliver outstanding customer service throughout the service process. Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations such as EPA standards for refrigerants during system servicing or installation. Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to perform precise repairs or installations efficiently. Support HVAC system upgrades by assisting in design considerations for new installations or system enhancements. Qualifications Proven experience in construction or HVAC service technician roles with a strong understanding of mechanical systems repair and installation. Knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration) systems including electrical diagnostics and refrigeration principles. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals related to HVAC design and installation projects. Mechanical knowledge of building automation systems (BAS), electrical systems, boilers, air conditioning units, and plumbing components. Skilled in troubleshooting equipment issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters or multimeters. Experience with HVAC system maintenance tasks including filter replacement, system cleaning, calibration, and preventive checks. Familiarity with field service operations involving equipment repair in diverse environments. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid EPA certification for handling refrigerants is required; additional certifications in electrical or mechanical fields are a plus. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail. Pay:
$26.00 - $31.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
