About Appolo Heating Appolo Heating is a growing residential HVAC and plumbing service company serving communities across New York's Capital Region and Southern Tier. About the Role Appolo Heating is seeking an analytical, quality-focused HVAC New Construction Start-Up Technician to manage post-install commissioning and warranty service in our Albany and Vestal market branches. In this specialized role, you'll be the final line of quality control - commissioning newly installed HVAC systems, ensuring peak efficiency, and handing over flawless systems to builders and home buyers. Key Responsibilities
System Commissioning & Start-Up:
Perform initial electrical checks, gas pressure checks, airflow measurements, digital thermostat setup, and precise refrigerant charging for newly installed RNC equipmentPunch-List & Quality Inspections:
Complete builder punch-lists, balance air delivery, fix trim issues, and resolve line/venting deficiencies prior to final closing inspectionsBuilder Warranty Service:
Diagnose and repair initial warranty service calls on newly completed home developments during the 1-year builder warranty phaseAdvanced Diagnostics:
Troubleshoot low-voltage controls, inverter-driven heat pumps, smart thermostats, gas valves, and airflow dynamics on freshly installed equipmentDocumentation:
Complete digital start-up logs, factory warranty forms, and homeowner handover documentation via tablet/mobile dispatch apps Qualifications- 2-4+ years of combined HVAC service diagnostic experience and start-up/commissioning background
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required; NATE Certification strongly preferred
- Mastery of electrical schematics, digital manifold gauges, combustion analyzers, and air-balancing tools
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate professionally with home builders, site managers, and new homeowners Compensation & Benefits
