Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE
The Service Technician at Eco Chill Ice LLC is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing our automated ice machines to ensure consistent, reliable ice production at customer locations. These advanced machines use fully automated robotics to create, bag, and seal ice, giving customers direct control over inventory and eliminating over-ordering. Technicians demonstrate Eco Chill Ice's core values: customer focus, respect, clear communication, integrity, and continuous improvement. They also deliver dependable ice service while supporting both warehouse and field operations. Duties and Responsibilities Ensure Eco Chill Ice machines operate at full capacity and consistently meet customer demand Perform service calls to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated ice makers, baggers, and merchandisers Complete installations, removals, and replacements of machines at customer locations Conduct preventive maintenance, including de-scaling, sanitizing, inspecting components, and maintaining machine cleanliness Read, interpret, and apply technical documentation, schematics, and service manuals for proper machine operation Communicate with customers to optimize machine performance and address concerns Maintain tools, company vehicles, and spare parts inventory, tracking usage and requesting replenishments as needed Participate in ongoing technical training to stay current on Eco Chill Ice equipment and best practices Identify opportunities to improve SOPs, maintenance procedures, and workflow, and share recommendations with management Demonstrate professionalism and adherence to safety policies in all interactions with coworkers, management, and customers Perform other duties as assigned to support field service operations Essential Mental Functions and Skills Ability to read and understand technical documents, schematics, safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals Maintain focus and alertness while performing tasks in field environments Accurately gauge distances, timing, and measurements when installing or servicing machines Quickly recall instructions and procedures when performing service tasks or troubleshooting equipment Concentrate and perform tasks requiring problem-solving, judgment, and technical skill Adapt and respond effectively to sudden changes, emergencies, or alarms Demonstrate a committed and safety-conscious attitude at all times Possess fast reflexes, coordination, and the ability to respond promptly to operational conditions Not be mentally or physically impaired in a way that would interfere with the safe and effective performance of required functions Take prompt and appropriate action in response to machine or operational issues Supervisory Responsibility None Education and Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, or plumbing service and repair roles Experience with low voltage controls or automated systems preferred High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications in Electrical, Mechanical, or Plumbing disciplines preferred Valid driver's license and clean driving record; must be able to operate company vehicles safely Basic computer and handheld device skills, with the ability to follow reporting and documentation procedures Working Conditions / Physical Requirements Frequent travel to customer locations; occasional overnight travel may be required Work may include evenings, weekends, and holidays Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and use installation tools and power equipment Ability to climb ladders and safely operate power tools Work is conducted in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires teamwork, problem-solving, and stress management Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining focus and safety Exposure to indoor and outdoor environments, including retail stores and customer locations Eco Chill Ice LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
