Job Description
Now Hiring a Facility HVAC Technician In this position, you'll work with a variety of advanced mechanical systems that support heating, cooling, and compressed air throughout the facility. This is a hands-on role where you'll troubleshoot issues, optimize system performance, and contribute to a well-maintained, high-functioning environment. We are currently able to hire and train for multiple levels of HVAC experience. Responsibilities Support the operation and reliability of key systems including chillers, boilers, air compressors, RTUs, and cooling towers Monitor system performance using gauges, meters, and BMS, identifying issues and responding to alarms or irregularities Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC and mechanical equipment to minimize downtime and restore system performance Perform preventive maintenance through CMMS, including routine inspections and component replacements Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support maintenance and repair activities Assist with water treatment programs to maintain system efficiency and protect equipment Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and contractors to resolve complex issues Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and documentation Participate in on-call support as needed to ensure continuous operation of critical systems Skills Recommendations Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial HVAC systems (chillers, boilers, RTUs, air handlers, pumps) - Training provided Understanding of mechanical systems including compressed air and cooling towers Experience performing preventive maintenance and managing work orders in a CMMS Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Knowledge of water treatment processes for boilers and cooling systems beneficial but not mandatory Accurate documentation of maintenance activities and service records Additional Information Medical, dental, and vision coverage PTO package including 1 week frontloaded PTO, 5 personal days, and 5 floating holidays Performance-based bonus opportunities Stable, first-shift schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm On-call rotation to support critical systems as needed Work in a technology center environment with advanced HVAC infrastructure (RTUs, cooling towers, boilers, chillers) Utilize modern tools including BMS and CMMS systems Structured schedule with opportunities for long-term growth in a hands-on, technical role Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Tonawanda, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
