Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to accurately diagnose issues. Perform electrical diagnostics and mechanical repairs on HVAC/R equipment using hand tools and specialized testing devices such as ohmmeters. Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure HVAC system efficiency and longevity. Repair plumbing components related to HVAC systems and ensure proper operation of associated electrical systems. Troubleshoot complex equipment failures including ammonia refrigeration systems and mechanical systems repair. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document all repairs performed for compliance and quality assurance. Skills Proven construction experience with a strong understanding of mechanical systems repair and HVAC system installation. Service technician experience with hands-on work in HVAC/R environments. Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and building automation system diagrams accurately. Knowledge of HVAC design principles along with refrigeration technology including ammonia refrigeration systems. Skilled in electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical systems within HVAC units. Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment. Mechanical knowledge encompassing boiler operation, appliance repair, property maintenance, and air conditioning systems. Experience working with plumbing components associated with HVAC setups. Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about system issues and solutions. Valid EPA certification for handling refrigerants; familiarity with electrical systems is essential. Ability to operate a van driver's license for on-site visits or equipment transport when necessary.
