Put Your HVAC Experience to Work in a Different Way You know HVAC/R because you've done the work—installing equipment, diagnosing problems, reading schematics, working with refrigerants, and figuring out what isn't working when the obvious answer isn't the right one. Now imagine being paid to teach someone else how to do it. Butler Tech is looking for an experienced HVAC/R professional to help train adults preparing to enter the HVAC industry. This is a part-time opportunity for an experienced technician who enjoys sharing what they know and helping others develop their skills. You do not need to be a teacher. If you bring the industry experience, Butler Tech will provide support as you transition into the classroom, including assistance obtaining the required Ohio Adult Education teaching permit. What You'll Teach You'll combine hands-on training with classroom instruction to help adult learners develop practical HVAC/R skills, including: Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair Residential and commercial HVAC equipment Electrical systems, controls, wiring, and schematics Refrigerant handling and recovery System diagnostics and performance testing HVAC/R codes, regulations, and safe work practices Preparation for EPA certification and success in the workplace What We're Looking For You may be a great fit if you have: At least 5 years of HVAC/R industry experience in residential, commercial, or industrial settings EPA 608 Certification R410A Certification OSHA, ICE, and other HVAC/R industry credentials are a plus Strong hands-on knowledge of HVAC/R systems and troubleshooting The ability to explain technical concepts clearly Patience and an interest in helping others learn Basic comfort with email and everyday computer technology Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check Never Taught Before? That's Okay! Some of the best technical instructors begin as experienced tradespeople—not educators. We'll help you learn the instructional side of the job and assist you with obtaining your Ohio Adult Education teaching permit. What we're looking for first is strong HVAC/R experience and someone who wants to pass that knowledge along.

Pay:

$32.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 29.0 per week
