Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician with 3-5 years experience to join our team and deliver exceptional service across a variety of property types. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC systems to ensure optimal indoor climate control and energy efficiency. Your expertise will help keep buildings comfortable, safe, and compliant with industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional eager to apply their mechanical knowledge in a fast-paced, field service environment. This role may also include some install work. Duties Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC/R (refrigeration) equipment to ensure reliable operation. Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems such as drainage, piping connections, and refrigerant line servicing. Use diagnostic tools including ohmmeters and other testing devices to identify electrical or mechanical faults in equipment. Repair or replace components such as compressors, motors, fans, valves, and control systems while adhering to safety standards. Assist with HVAC design modifications or upgrades based on client needs or new building codes. Operate a driver vehicle safely for field service calls across multiple sites. Apply welding skills when necessary for ductwork or component repairs involving metal fabrication. Maintain detailed service records, work logs, and reports documenting all performed tasks and parts used. Experience Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician working with heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, or related mechanical systems. Strong understanding of schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC/R system design principles. Hands-on experience with appliance repair and property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems. Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and experience working with HVAC/R equipment is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge encompassing plumbing, welding, boiler operation, and general equipment repair is essential. Familiarity with field service procedures including troubleshooting electrical circuits using ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating driver vehicles preferred. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately while following safety protocols diligently.
