Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) Technician. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of commercial mechanical and electrical systems that keep food safe and buildings comfortable and operational. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance of HVAC and refrigeration equipment, contributing to safe, efficient, and reliable building environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in construction, service, and system diagnostics while delivering exceptional customer service. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Refrigeration and HVAC systems including refrigeration equipment, heating, and air conditioning systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, electrical diagrams, and mechanical drawings to diagnose issues accurately. Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters to identify faults in electrical systems and components. Conduct equipment troubleshooting for HVAC/R systems to ensure efficient operation and compliance with safety standards. Repair or replace mechanical components using hand tools and mechanical knowledge to restore system functionality promptly. Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction with all work performed. Requirements Service technician experience of at least 3 years with hands-on work in HVAC/R systems including refrigeration and mechanical systems repair. Knowledge of schematics, electrical diagnostics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, and building automation controls. Familiarity with HVAC/R equipment troubleshooting techniques and mechanical systems repair procedures. Ability to operate hand tools, and power tools, efficiently and safely. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver is advantageous.
