Responsibilities Lead and coordinate maintenance activities for HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems across multiple sites. Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems. Interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings, and HVAC design plans to execute precise repairs or installations. Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment such as chillers, boilers, ammonia refrigeration units, and other mechanical systems. Utilize hand tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic instruments to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues efficiently. Supervise field service operations, ensuring safety protocols are followed during equipment repair or installation projects. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about system status, repairs needed, and maintenance schedules. Oversee inventory of tools and parts necessary for maintenance tasks; ensure timely ordering of supplies when needed. Lead safety training sessions for team members on proper use of tools and adherence to safety standards. Requirements Proven experience in construction or service technician roles with a focus on HVAC system repair and maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems including electrical diagnostics and plumbing. Ability to read schematics, mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, and HVAC design plans accurately. Experience with HVAC system installation, troubleshooting equipment issues using hand tools and diagnostic meters such as ohmmeters. Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS), electrical systems, boilers, ammonia refrigeration units, and appliance repair is highly desirable. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC/R or electrical diagnostics are a plus. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish to facilitate effective communication with diverse teams and clients. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver preferred.
