Cascade Heating & Specialties is looking for a Commercial HVAC Foreman to lead commercial HVAC crews and projects in Central Oregon. This is a field leadership role for someone who knows commercial HVAC installation, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can lead people, coordinate with other trades, communicate with project managers and general contractors, and keep work moving safely and efficiently. The right person may already be an experienced foreman, or they may be a strong commercial HVAC journeyman ready for the next step. Foreman experience is preferred, but the most important fit is someone who knows the work, lives Cascade's values, and can become the daily onsite leader for our company. Why this role matters The foreman is the onsite leader who takes the project plan and turns it into safe, organized, high-quality field execution. You help the crew understand the work, plan the day, coordinate with other trades, track progress, maintain quality, communicate issues early, and deliver a finished product the team can be proud of. This role is not just about being a good installer. Being a foreman is a skill. It requires planning, communication, leadership, accountability, safety awareness, technical knowledge, and the ability to develop people while getting work done. What you will own Lead commercial HVAC crews on one project or multiple smaller projects Supervise journeymen, installers, and apprentices in the field Plan daily work and communicate expectations clearly to the crew Coordinate onsite work with the project manager, general contractor, other trades, inspectors, and internal teams Understand the project scope, drawings, specifications, submittals, and schedule Layout and install commercial ductwork, equipment, hangers, supports, piping coordination, and related HVAC systems Support equipment setting, startup, TAB/commissioning activities, punch work, and closeout Identify material, labor, access, quality, safety, and schedule issues early Request materials through the project manager, warehouse, or approved process Identify potential change order conditions and work with the project manager to document them Track progress, provide field updates, and complete required documentation Maintain accurate as-built information, photos, daily reports, time information, punch lists, and other project records Lead first-pass QA/QC in the field Maintain jobsite safety and enforce company safety expectations Train and coach apprentices and developing installers Help provide performance feedback through the Operations Manager Protect company tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials assigned to the job What success looks like A successful Commercial HVAC Foreman keeps the crew organized, communicates directly, solves problems early, coordinates well with other trades, protects safety, maintains quality, supports the schedule, and helps the project finish with strong workmanship and minimal waste. Who you are You are a practical field leader who: Knows commercial HVAC and sheet metal installation Can read drawings, specifications, submittals, and installation manuals Understands duct layout and commercial HVAC systems Leads by example instead of title Communicates clearly with crews, PMs, GCs, inspectors, and other trades Holds yourself and your crew accountable Plans ahead instead of waiting for problems to happen Can use a phone or tablet for drawings, photos, communication, and documentation Has a positive attitude and takes pride in craftsmanship Lives Cascade's values: customer satisfaction, doing the right thing, teamwork, comfort, excellence, and consistency Required qualifications 5+ years of commercial HVAC installation experience 2+ years of commercial HVAC foreman or field leadership experience Strong sheet metal and ductwork installation experience Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, submittals, and installation documents Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and installation standards Ability to lead a crew and train apprentices Ability to maintain high workmanship standards that follow plans, specifications, submittals, and company expectations Good communication and decision-making skills Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to pass a drug screen and driving record check High school diploma or equivalent Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of commercial HVAC installation work Preferred qualifications

OSHA 30 EPA

certification Experience leading larger commercial HVAC projects Experience completing projects within labor and material budgets Knowledge of national, state, and local codes Experience with hydronics, boilers, VRF, controls coordination, refrigeration, or broader mechanical HVAC scope Experience using Procore, Bluebeam, ServiceTitan, Microsoft Teams, or similar field/project software Strong ability to document field conditions, progress, as-builts, change conditions, and punch items Tools, technology, and support Foremen are expected to provide their own hand tools.

Most work is in Central Oregon , with projects based out of the Bend area. This role reports to the Commercial Operations Manager from an organizational standpoint and works closely with project managers on daily project priorities, planning, coordination, and execution.
