CoolSys is seeking a Journeyman HVAC Installation professional to install, retrofit, and start up HVAC systems for retail, commercial, and industrial customers. In this field-based role, you'll interpret plans, set and pipe equipment, install ductwork, and ensure code-compliant, energy-efficient operation. You'll work on diverse, mission-critical sites with a safety-first, customer-focused team. Responsibilities Install and retrofit commercial and industrial HVAC systems per plans and specifications Set, level, and secure HVAC equipment, including rooftop units and air handlers Install and seal ductwork, registers, grilles, and associated fittings Perform brazing, soldering, and refrigeration piping to industry standards Complete electrical connections and low-voltage wiring for HVAC controls Conduct system start-up, testing, and basic commissioning to verify operation Follow all safety procedures, codes, and company standards on job sites Collaborate with project managers and other trades to meet schedules and quality goals Document work performed and communicate equipment or design issues to supervisors Provide professional, customer-focused service while representing Cool Sys on site Required Skills HVAC system installation Ductwork fabrication and installation Brazing and soldering Refrigeration piping Reading blueprints and schematics Use of HVAC diagnostic tools Electrical wiring for HVAC equipment Equipment rigging and setting Code compliance and safety standards Startup and commissioning of HVAC systems
