The right candidate should be able to independently diagnose, troubleshoot, service, maintain, and repair residential heating and air-conditioning systems while communicating clearly and professionally with homeowners. This is an opportunity to join a local HVAC company where you work directly with the owner , not a large national corporation. We are looking for an HVAC technician who takes pride in diagnosing problems correctly, performing quality repairs, taking care of the customer's home, and doing the job right the first time. What You Will Be Responsible For As a Residential HVAC Service Technician, you will: Diagnose and troubleshoot residential heating and cooling systems Service and repair central air-conditioning systems Diagnose no-cooling and no-heating calls Service and repair gas furnaces and residential heating equipment Diagnose electrical, airflow, refrigerant, thermostat, and mechanical problems Perform residential HVAC preventative maintenance and tune-ups Check refrigerant pressures and system performance Identify failed or worn HVAC components Explain system conditions and recommended repairs clearly to homeowners Complete repairs according to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices Document service findings and completed repairs Maintain an organized service vehicle and work area Protect customers' homes and property while performing service Maintain professional communication with customers, dispatch, management, and other technicians Participate in the company's rotating on-call schedule Required HVAC Experience Applicants must have: Minimum 2 years of residential HVAC service experience EPA Section 608 Certification

• Required Experience independently diagnosing residential HVAC problems Experience repairing residential air-conditioning and heating systems Working knowledge of refrigeration and electrical troubleshooting Ability to read electrical diagrams and use standard HVAC diagnostic equipment Ability to communicate professionally with homeowners Ability to work independently in customers' homes Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to pass a background check Your own standard HVAC hand tools Dependable attendance and professional appearance Preferred Qualifications NATE Certification preferred Additional HVAC manufacturer training or certifications Strong residential air-conditioning diagnostic experience Strong furnace and heating diagnostic experience Experience with heat pumps Experience using digital HVAC diagnostic equipment Strong customer-service and communication skills This Position Is Not a Fit for You If You Have less than 2 years of residential HVAC service experience Do not currently have EPA certification Need to be trained in basic residential HVAC diagnostics Cannot independently diagnose common heating and air-conditioning problems Take shortcuts instead of diagnosing the actual cause of a system problem Cannot communicate professionally with homeowners Leave your truck, tools, or work areas disorganized Are frequently late, unreliable, or unwilling to participate in the on-call rotation Are uncomfortable being accountable for the quality of your work

Schedule Regular Hours:

Monday through Friday 8:00 AM

• 4:30 PM This position also participates in an on-call rotation for after-hours HVAC service when required.

Compensation Starting salary:
