- Required Experience independently diagnosing residential HVAC problems Experience repairing residential air-conditioning and heating systems Working knowledge of refrigeration and electrical troubleshooting Ability to read electrical diagrams and use standard HVAC diagnostic equipment Ability to communicate professionally with homeowners Ability to work independently in customers' homes Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to pass a background check Your own standard HVAC hand tools Dependable attendance and professional appearance Preferred Qualifications NATE Certification preferred Additional HVAC manufacturer training or certifications Strong residential air-conditioning diagnostic experience Strong furnace and heating diagnostic experience Experience with heat pumps Experience using digital HVAC diagnostic equipment Strong customer-service and communication skills This Position Is Not a Fit for You If You Have less than 2 years of residential HVAC service experience Do not currently have EPA certification Need to be trained in basic residential HVAC diagnostics Cannot independently diagnose common heating and air-conditioning problems Take shortcuts instead of diagnosing the actual cause of a system problem Cannot communicate professionally with homeowners Leave your truck, tools, or work areas disorganized Are frequently late, unreliable, or unwilling to participate in the on-call rotation Are uncomfortable being accountable for the quality of your work
Schedule Regular Hours:
Monday through Friday 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM This position also participates in an on-call rotation for after-hours HVAC service when required.
Compensation Starting salary:
