Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and mechanical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and building automation system diagrams to diagnose issues accurately. Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters to identify faults and implement effective repairs. Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems such as pipe fitting and drainage to ensure optimal operation. Use hand tools and mechanical knowledge to repair or replace faulty components within HVAC/R equipment efficiently. Maintain compliance with EPA regulations by handling refrigerants responsibly during system servicing or recharging procedures. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction with the work performed. Skills Proven construction experience with a strong understanding of mechanical systems repair and HVAC system installation. Service technician experience with hands-on troubleshooting of HVAC/R equipment and electrical diagnostics. Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams for complex HVAC designs and building automation systems. Knowledge of refrigeration principles. Mechanical knowledge of boilers, appliances, electrical systems, and property maintenance practices. Familiarity with HVAC system maintenance routines and troubleshooting techniques for equipment issues. Experience operating hand tools, electrical testing devices like ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment effectively. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC/R or electrical systems are preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Valid van driver's license for on-site visits; familiarity with building automation systems is a plus.
