Job Title:
Commercial HVAC Installer Job Description This position offers an opportunity for an experienced Commercial HVAC Installer to lead and execute commercial installation projects from start to finish. You will install complete HVAC systems, interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings, and ensure that every project meets high standards for safety, quality, and productivity. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who takes pride in precise workmanship and organized, efficient jobsite execution. Responsibilities Execute commercial HVAC installation projects from start to finish, ensuring work meets project specifications and codes. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings to plan and complete installations accurately. Measure, cut, and install ductwork and piping according to specifications and layout requirements. Install rooftop units, air handlers, split systems, exhaust systems, and other commercial HVAC components. Use power tools, hand tools, and sheet metal fabrication techniques to complete duct installation and related work. Install and connect HVAC systems, including associated electrical and mechanical components as required for proper operation. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite while adhering to OSHA and company safety standards. Monitor job progress, identify issues or material needs, and communicate them promptly to project leadership. Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations. Deliver high-quality workmanship with attention to detail, system performance, and long-term reliability. Essential Skills Strong experience in commercial HVAC installation. Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings independently. Hands-on experience measuring, cutting, and installing ductwork for commercial projects. Hands-on experience installing HVAC piping and mechanical components. Proficiency in installing rooftop units, air handlers, split systems, exhaust systems, and related HVAC equipment. Ability to use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively in a construction environment. Knowledge of HVAC systems, HVAC units, HVAC service, and commercial HVAC applications. Commitment to high standards of workmanship, safety, and jobsite organization. Understanding of basic electrical aspects related to HVAC installations. Familiarity with OSHA safety practices and jobsite safety requirements. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with sheet metal fabrication for ductwork and related components. Experience in construction environments, particularly commercial buildings. Duct installation experience in commercial settings. OSHA 10 certification (preferred). OSHA 30 certification (preferred). Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hazleton, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
