Responsibilities Perform installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC systems and mechanical equipment. Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and conduct electrical diagnostics on building systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot equipment effectively. Conduct HVAC system repairs, system upgrades, and routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Service plumbing components related to HVAC systems and assist with building automation systems for efficient climate control. Utilize hand tools and mechanical skills to repair or replace mechanical systems components across various property types. Maintain accurate records of service activities, inspections, repairs, and system modifications for compliance and reporting purposes. Seek out additional customers and provide estimates. Qualifications Proven construction experience with a strong background in mechanical systems repair and HVAC system installation. (7 years of experience minimum) Service technician experience with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems is highly preferred. Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals; experience with building automation systems is a plus. Proficiency in electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters; skilled in troubleshooting electrical systems. Familiarity with HVAC design principles and HVAC system maintenance practices. Experience working with hand tools, mechanical systems repair equipment, and property maintenance tasks. Valid driver's license for van driving duties required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
