Position Summary JW Mechanicals is seeking a reliable and experienced Commercial HVAC Installation Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with a strong background in commercial service and installation of parts who can work independently, deliver high-quality workmanship, and represent our company with professionalism on every job site. Key Responsibilities Install commercial HVAC systems and equipment, including rooftop units, split systems, heat pumps, air handlers, ductwork, piping, controls, and related components. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, mechanical drawings, and installation instructions. Perform equipment start-up, testing, and basic troubleshooting to ensure systems operate properly. Install refrigerant piping, condensate lines, electrical connections, controls, and associated HVAC components. Measure, cut, assemble, and install sheet metal ductwork and fittings as required. Follow project plans, job specifications, manufacturer requirements, and applicable building codes. Follow all OSHA safety standards and company safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and proper ladder and lift operation. Communicate with install supervisor on job progress, notes, materials and scheduling.

Required Qualifications Experience:

Minimum of 3

•- 5 years of hands-on commercial HVAC experience

• in service and/or installation. (This position is not open to entry-level or apprentice technicians.)

Certification:

Active EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required.

Technical Expertise:

Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems and schematics, controls, and hydronic systems.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights, and perform tasks in varying weather conditions and confined mechanical spaces.

Driver's License:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Preferred Qualifications NATE (North American Technician Excellence) certification. Experience working with VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) systems. Basic plumbing or pipefitting experience. Why Join JW Mechanicals?
