Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems including ductwork, air handlers, condensers, and boilers following schematics and HVAC design plans. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify issues accurately. Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure peak performance and energy efficiency. Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to execute precise installations and repairs. Conduct system testing, calibration, and commissioning to confirm proper operation according to safety standards and client specifications. Diagnose complex issues involving electrical systems, plumbing connections, building automation systems, and refrigerant leaks or failures. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system functions and maintenance procedures clearly to clients while ensuring their needs are met promptly. Requirements Proven experience with a strong mechanical aptitude; previous service technician experience is highly valued. Knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics, electrical diagnostics, refrigeration cycles, plumbing connections, and mechanical systems repair. Hands-on experience with HVAC system installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair across various equipment types including boilers. Familiarity with electrical systems including building automation controls; ability to use hand tools effectively for installation and repairs. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications related to HVAC or property maintenance are a plus. Ability to read technical schematics accurately; experience with electrical diagnostics using tools like ohmmeters is essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly; valid driver's license required for job site travel. Mechanical knowledge of appliances repair and property maintenance tasks is advantageous; familiarity with air conditioning units is required. $20.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
